It's like a train crash, you see it coming... [snip] Not quire like a train crash. A train is stuck on it's path, is heavily weighted down and needs a LOT of stopping space so the engineer is kinda stuck on what s/he can do when they first spot the problem. In this case: it's a person who is going ...

Re: Peter of England and WeaRe not a Bank

[Peter] can [print his own money] but the problem is that no one is obligated to accept it. Currency ... rises and falls in value based on people's confidence in it. WeRe Bank failed ... because any fool can see Re units are worthless. To take that concept 1 step further, if PoE truly wants his Re ...

There's a new article/entry PoE might want to be aware of: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA v. DAVID MOLESKI ... "it is not a defense that the intended victim was too smart to be taken in." ... "The negligence of the victim in failing to discover a fraudulent scheme is not a defense to crimin...

Re: The Rooftop 6 - The Trial of the Century!

Apparently the judge in the recent rooftop 6 case stated that the Crawfrauds should have all their property including the house returned to them asap Remember when Tom Crawford claimed (paraphrasing and my summation from memory): The Judge said the bank committed fraud, I don't disagree with that, ...

Doesn't the Direct Debit Guarantee protect PoE's victims clients from situations like that. They might think that, but it'd have to include the reality that PoE would actually have to use the financial communication system in play which he has clearly indicated he does not use - not to me...

Only YiamCross can confirm that - should he choose.

He's attributed an opinion to me that I do not hold. Will he take some step to correct it?

We're getting into a topic, and an argument, that have absolutely nothing at all to do with Quatloos. If you feel the need to continue it please do so through PMs. The only reason I spoke up was because YiamCross attributed - in a public post - expressions of opinion which I have not expressed. Like our friend Hyr[i]on ... they make the mistake of forgetting to count the cost of the machinery required to convert that free resource into something useful along with the cost of delivering to wherever it's needed when it's needed. ... it [a solar panel array] rang in around the $36,000 ... Re: Peter of England: He’s still F RE?

The bottom line is whether a judgment would result in anyone being able to collect anything from WeRe Bank, or Peter for that matter. That's not necessarily the only bottom line. There is the potential, however unlikely, that following such a route could end up establishing sufficient facts to be a...

The FOS seems to take a dim view of this. We've had a few cases go to the FOS where at the first stage (adjudicator) the customer's been rumbled and told to bog off. We haven't had a case go to a final decision, but here's one where the ombudsman makes it clear that the FOS has no truck with this k...

Re: Random Freemanesque Babblings from idiots unable to sustain their own thread

In this situation it's not a matter of having to prove anything in a court of law so the point is entirely moot. Yet - when a disagreement between two parties can not be resolved and both parties have it in their intent to "enforce" (for lack of a better word) their position, civil lawsui...
