Re: Baron David Ward

That reminds me of my favourite joke:

Shakespeare walks into a pub and the barman says "you're bard".

Re: Meet the Dragons

So he has to take a private let, apply for housing benefit & council tax support, get his name on the lists for his local council and local HAs, and bid for properties as they come up. It's not ideal but there's a shortage of social housing, and a single man with no children and no physical disa...

Re: UK - Neelu Berry opens my eyes

The penalty for acting dishonourably £5,000,000 unpaid at the end of the 30 day period in accordance with biblical law [Leviticus 26 v 28 and Proverbs 6 v 30-31] becomes seven fold, that is £5million x 7 = £35 million. It’s news to me that Israel used the Pound Sterling in biblical times. Shouldn...

That is a man with too much time on his hands. I think "loonwaffle" best describes the contents of his letter.

Getting an order for Ms P to stay away from the neighbour and the neighbour's home would be possible, I think, and would have the same effect.

That's just sad.
Poor woman, I hope she has someone to care for her now. As for Robotham, that's his Carer's Allowance stopped!

It is a test that must be done yearly once a car or motorbike is three years old from first registration (though vehicles registered prior to 1960 are exempt). It tests that the vehicle is roadworthy, looking at things like tyres, lights, brakes and emissions as well as non-safety but legal things l...

I don't think Neelu understands the concept of parody. Like many SovCit type people, she is convinced that anything on the internet (as long as it isn't an .ac, .edu or .gov address) is absolutely true.

Re: Sovcit Glossary - translating the nonsense

Success. A word that has multiple meanings with the SovCit/Magnum Carter/Wawful Webellion crews. It can mean more than two people turning up to a meet/moot/gathering - but never more than four because that has never happened. It can mean being imprisoned, because then they are 'sticking it to the m...

All benefits are paid directly into bank accounts, so every claimant has a bank account even if it's a basic Post Office account that can only be used for receiving benefits and withdrawing cash. I rather doubt a GP would ever write a letter to the DWP saying a claimant "can't possibly get a jo...

If being jailed for wilful refusal to pay council tax is classified as a win, David Robotham must be looking forward to basking in his glorious victory. Nine months four and a half months inside might get him to understand that all these notices are as powerful as bogroll.

I expect Rekha and her hangers-on will already be hassling the EA; I hope they are made of sterner stuff than the previous agents. Being a national firm, though IIRC franchises, they probably have a greater access to lawyers who will tell anyone trying to disrupt the sale to jog on.

There was a time when 'rough music' meant something. The victim was suitably ashamed and the perpetrators had a legitimate grievance. Now, it's just a few numpties rattling saucepans.

The Cestui Que Vie Act 1666 - Freemen and Sov'runs believe that getting a birth certificate for a child creates a 'trust' (see also entry for Trust) and/or an annuity which they must access before the child is seven in order to claim untold wealth. What it actually is: an outdated piece of legislat...

 My eyes! You did warn me, but I clicked anyway.

Craig Fraser's case is a perfect example of how using FoTL tactics, including not attending court hearings, can destroy one's life. He had a house and a live-in girlfriend. Now he has neither.
