Fuck. There goes another $72,000,000. On discovering it was possible to claim copyright in something that was neither unique or creative (let alone both) simply because it was your name, I resolved to change my name to "Fuck" and cash in. But then I decided, frankly, I couldn't be fucked.

In England, a Peer, at least in 1215, very much meant A Peer of the Realm, and what now defines a jury of your peers in King John's time would have been "a dozen grubby peasants who rather ought to get their asses back to the fields before I have them all whipped...." I think that was pre...

They clamp a BMW 330D worth £12,000, not the Nissan Almera next to it worth £1,000 4. Refuse the reasonable amount offered of £5 per month under duress and protest I note she seems to find nothing contradictory between having two cars of which either one could be sold to pay the debt in full (she c...

So business rates don't fall under the Council Tax regulations? I think that if the business is a company then it's the business that's liable, if the business is a sole trader then the person is liable. If correct, this would mean that a sole trader could be put into prison, but a company could on...

Re: Sovrins, Neo-Nazis, and...Furries?

They should bring the show to the UK. Then we could have Furries on one side, in full costume (including heads) and barristers and judges on the other in robes, gowns and wigs (I think we do this better than the US but I'm happy to be corrected) all refusing to take the other seriously but, neverthe...

Re: Sovrins, Neo-Nazis, and...Furries?

PS: Yes, I'm a furry. No, we don't have sex in those costumes. I'm also aware of the difference between furries in general and fursuiters in particular, and i have seen discussions of yiffing while suited. It's rare, but apparently it does happen. I've come to the conclusion that if a large enough ...

First ponies, now furries. The secret illuminatus-NWO cabal is more diverse than I thought. Can any still doubt the primacy of the llama?

Mortgage defaulter Charles Chestnut has been in the news in the UK today after being sentenced for burning down the house that was repossessed from them. There's not a lot about them on the net, so it's difficult to tell if they subscribe to any of the popular loony beliefs or just their own, but th...

Is this where the "3 letters" idea comes from; It may well have had some influence on their beliefs. With a parking agreement you're presented with the terms on a sign in the car park and your acceptance of the terms is by your actions in choosing to park there - you have a choice and you...

Yeah, but the great thing is you can fool the FOTLs into believing you have the power to darken the sun and make them bow down and worship you! Sounds like fun. Does that really work? Sadly the science of predicting eclipses has been known for over 2,000 years, so at least some of them have caught ...

Is this a new Freetard site or a site to con all freetards? Although, I am pretty sure I seen this ad sometime ago. Ah yes, these lot again. Good to see that they've updated some of their photos. While the old ones (apparently taken on an iPhone with a humorous 'Mekon' filter enabled) were somewhat...

Re: Council Tax My Arse Facbook page

You have to be very careful about the specifics of Council Tax laws as it is one (if not the only) "civil" type offence where you can be jailed, without invoking contempt rules. To expand on this, you can only (I think) be jailed for wilful refusal to pay - this isn't being thrown in debt...
