Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

You are correct. Between them, they are responsible for the $124m - and it doesn't matter how it's divided. Thanks. I'm muddling my way through summarizing the class action (the one filed in March)...and sensational isn't the word for it. It read like the legal-ly portions of Drop Dead Diva . That'...

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

I know we've moved on from this, but I'm trying to catch up the blog now that I've got a bit of time to do so. I've got a quick question on restitution. It states: JOEL BARRY GILLIS and EDWARD WISHNER are jointly and severally liable to pay restitution in the above-entitled matter in the amount of $...

Re: Scheduled Forum Maintenance

wew! glad we're back. but i wish there had been some warning outside this section. the site runs so well most of the time, i've never seen a need to monitor topics here. also, if i were to try making my own theme (i really prefer blue), how would i load it? I'd have to upload and install it, which ...

Re: Scheduled Forum Maintenance

We're currently experiencing some issues. Apparently, someone stuck his penis on something sharp while we were down on Friday.

Re: Scheduled Forum Maintenance

Oh, I also created a github repository for the theme , like almost a year ago. Anyone wishing to do a recolor can use it as their base and inherit from it, just as it inherits from the proSilver theme. Or you can go off the rails and start a new one entirely and inherit from proSilver directly. If y...

Re: Scheduled Forum Maintenance

phpBB is up to 3.1.8, so I'm fixing to do another upgrade sometime over the next few days. The forum will go down. It will come back up. Usually within the same century.

Try not to get your penises caught on anything sharp during the outage.

Re: Sovrun Cattle - The Sagebrush Saga of Cliven Bundy

They should send in a fake reporter with a real cameraperson, with the agreement that the fake will be "shot" with a saline-filled tranquilizer dart. Then once he or she is hit, they go down in a glorious death scene while the supporter freaks the hell out. Then as the fake reveals that he...

Rude little data aggregator. We had a similar problem with 80legs. I added it to the bot list. It usually clears up after they crawl the whole site.

Also, the whole "replying to post" thing is simply because it's following every stupid link. Rude.

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

The BOP's Inmate Locator shows both Ed & Joel as "Not in BOP Custody." That doesn't mean that they didn't turn themselves in, just that it might take a day or two to show up in the system.

Ed's Registration Number is 68555-112
Joel's Registration Number is 68556-112

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

We have the first sign of a trial in the clawback cases. 2:15-cv-06700, entry #17 on the docket says:

JOINT REPORT Rule 26(f) Discovery Plan ; estimated length of trial 1-3 days, filed by Plaintiff William J Hoffman.. (Attachments: # 1 Affidavit Proof of Service)(Hsu, Tim) (Entered: 11/09/2015)

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

I just blew another $40 downloading from the criminal docket. Ed's in there a lot recently and it looks like he's had some of his filing sealed. I might as well just post a link to the directory housing all the files so you can check it out. I haven't looked at everything yet. I've stopped using pad...

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

I just skimmed the report and it also said that there were investors who settled with the installment plan. If everyone makes their payments, it's like $690k paid back over the next year. There's also mention that tax returns prior to 2014 (Receiver filed 2014) were "significantly inaccurate.&q...

Don't insult the hobos. They don't operate can recycling investment schemes wherein you give them a can and in exchange, they give you $0.05 a month for life.

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

Actually, if I'm interpreting the Loss List correctly, I count exactly 71 investors who received NOTHING, but gave a grand total of $4,125,170.82 (there was one really odd number: $92,170.82). The amounts from each investor clearly show a mixture of $12k and $19.8k contracts being sold. I saw, as I...

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

How many other people do you thing Joel & Ed blatantly did this to. I finished keying in the victim list that was attached to Joel's rebuttal. There are a total of 8 people who sent NASI money and did not receive anything. It totals close to $600k. Of course, that list was generated in May, so ...

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

So the defense team was not aware of these other companies? But the receiver was? I think the issue is two-fold. 1. Joel's math probably indicates that Ehrens is not a net loser, since he re-invested his ill-gotten gains. 2. Joel is ignoring the commissions, which is all those two companies brought...

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

Ehrens is one of the investors who were sued in July. The payments were included from Riviera at this point, demonstrating that he's a net loser for $57k. But wait, there's more! He was also paid aver $2m in commissions between his person, Amgest Ltd (a Nevada corporation) and First Abby Corp (a Del...
