Re: Amir Lord Noble Ben Bey - Moorish Diplomat

appeared to have been fabricated by defendant Bey using cardboard and crayons I don't know about cardboard, but crayons? There's no way that license plate was made with crayons. Raise your hand if you can do make a photorealistic picture of themselves using crayon? How about perfectly mimicking fon...

I don't think you were implying that he's not disabled, but I feel compelled to point this out: Not all disabilities are visible.

Re: A Polite Request from the Management

I remember back when the Ed Brown standoff was happening, the threads were as much commentary as news. It was pretty hot and heavy back then, but the volume is nowhere near the level of the Crawford thread. That being said, we have a lot more users posting to the Crawford thread than the old Brown t...

Re: A Polite Request from the Management

I got a question, for probably Web since she takes care of the site and it's been way too long since I dealt with the back room stuff of a forum. Is it possible to tie a temp ban or moderated status to an event? What I was thinking was that if say poster "xyz" posts a bunch of crap, and i...

Re: Scamming the elderly

Well, she finally called all the numbers I gave her to report things. That's at least something. The doctor found that he was not exhibiting any signs of dementia, which is odd since he doesn't even remember having an argument with his son-in-law and it was a bad blowup. She's since learned that he'...

As I said upthread: I should also point out that activation emails are not being sent. We typically activate you within 24 hours, often sooner. If you've registered for an account here and haven't gotten your activation email, try logging in anyway. Some people do actually receive the emails but tha...

No new developments. She hasn't spoken to her father in days. Great daughter she is. But, I got an interesting call today. Came in as restricted and a "Joe Casino", left a message. Used my name and said that he was a UPS driver and needed a call back. By the way, the number he left is 1-87...

Re: Scamming the elderly

I've encountered a difficult situation. ... He has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and unbeknownst to him it's for dementia testing (he's been slipping in other ways, so this needs to happen regardless of scammers). But it likely will not happen as the scammers have instructed him to stay home tom...

Scamming the elderly

I've encountered a difficult situation. An acquaintance of mine has an elderly father who is willingly being scammed. It's definitely a lottery scam, in this case for a new car. They keep demanding money and he keeps sending it. He doesn't have a lot of money, just enough to stay retired comfortably...

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

I just checked the criminal case against the Dickwad Duo to make sure that sentencing was still scheduled for Jul 20th. It is not. The Duo requested on May 21st to continue sentencing until Dec 14th. A few of notes from the request: The loss will be a key issue at sentencing and it's still undetermi...

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

Thanks for everyone's input. Apparently there are too many factors for anyone to determine how or when the NAS saga will end, especially given the crooks are still walking the streets living off somebody's money and the Receiver has yet to show potential for recovering anything significant. Sorry t...

Re: ATM LEASEBACK SCHEMES-- any insight?

Given all the NAS investors that profited, how much money has been recovered from NAS clawbacks so far? Per the last report, nothing. It doesn't quite look like it's moved to the demand letter portion of things. It doesn't look like they've completed the books beyond a certain point yet. I don't ha...
