Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

Also, Derek (hilda) probably remembers your name from when he dealt with you in the first place Piling On.... This was on Global Calgary News last night.... http://globalnews.ca/news/1696837/suspicious-real-estate-listings-discovered-in-calgary/ The news story illustrates the second phase of Johnso...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

Look,I am just trying to get some real evidence on this guy. The Meads vs Meads reference, which is so unbelievably NOT case precedent, to prove case law, that pretty much seals it. I'm sure that all of the courts that have cited it as authoritative will be interested in the opinion of an anonymous...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

Okay, yes, I do understand what people are claiming is happening with this guy. But what puzzles me is no concrete example of him actually pocketing a deposit seems to be available. This site seems sincere, but I'm wondering why people are calling it a scam if there is no evidence he has actually t...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

Eric can you clarify how you got scammed by this DJ or whatever he calls himself. You transferred the title and your wife got alarmed that his name seemed to be different from the one he used, but he didn't actually take any deposit or anything from you. I am confused. I am hearing from your post t...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

Just tonight the other major new station here, CTV News dropped the bomb that RECA has issued a consumer warning against Derek Johnson (available on their web site) and they've applied to the courts for a "Cease and Desist Order" against him - details on their web site, CTV hasn't posted ...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

With respect to the welcomes from other board members, many heartfelt thanks. That being said, my lawyer has advised me not to say anything more regarding my personal circumstances. As various things are released for public consumption I will keep you posted. Here's a link to the latest news about ...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

Is a "Commissioner for Oaths" in Alberta similar to a (real) Notary Public in the US? (Sorry about that, Chief!) Similar function and duties. In Alberta, the qualifications are fairly lax: http://www.law-faqs.org/wiki/index.php/Commissioners_for_Oaths_and_Notaries_Public_AB With respect t...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com by Jeffrey » Mon Aug 11, 2014 10:59 pm What what does cocaine have to do with this mortgage scam? Just one of Johnson's associates. Manji teams up with Johnson when presenting the scam and masquerades as the realtor while Johnson is the supposed mortgage broker. Britta...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

I contacted RECA today so that they can pile on with more penalties. Tomorrow I'm being interviewed by the CBC so that they can do a story on Johnson and associates - they've been bugging me for months to interview me but I wanted to wait until title was back in my name. Hmmmm.... what shall I do ne...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

Just as an aside, at least I can be satisfied that Derek Johnson and associates probably never made any money from me. His pet Commissioner for Oaths made $50 and his attempts to register the property in his name at Land Titles quickly sucked up the $200 I gave him - hardly gas and coffee money.

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

The paperwork is actually valid - that's the scary part <grins>. I would have to scan it all in, but it consists of an Alberta Offer to Purchase with the condition that the homeowner stays in the property on a rent-to -own basis and first right of refusal to purchase it back. He even gets a pet Comm...

Re: Private Sector Act dot Com

Various people have asked exactly what methodology Johnson et al use in their scams. Here is exactly how it works. The first step is to make contact with a homeowner facing foreclosure. Johnson explains to them that he has contacts in the mortgage world. He convinces the owner to sell the house to a...
