Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

From what I have been able to establish from the rants on Pete's page his wife and one of his daughters paid their taxes in the appropriate manner. It was just him who went off kilter. That being said, I expect the warrant said all electronic devices located at his home and work place in case he was...

Re: Give us your huddled masses yearning to be free

I must admit to having owned an '89 Colt at one period in my life. I paid the grand sum of $100 all in for said vehicle, only intending to own it for a few months. Six months of driving the cr*p out of it and 30K km later it was still running fine so I took the bold step of changing the oil and it n...

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

As you may have noticed cofeecat, members of Pete's little group have finally become aware that they are being monitored by various people. There were a couple of threads last night about it, it's not just their natural paranoia, but the CRA is monitoring them along with other interested parties. Th...

Re: Income taxes for a dead person

Actually there are two common estate issues that cause tax problems in Canada. There is the capital gains provision and the fact that it is perfectly possible to forego paying capital gains tax until your death and leaving it to your executor to handle a lifetime of capital gains tax. The other, eve...

Re: Give us your huddled masses yearning to be free

Hmmm, the Kory brothers have their own issues, everybody is busy in Alberta, in Quebec Pete has his own problems and Menard is only interested in reliving his past glories. I strongly believe that he should try for Manitoba since Dean Clifford seems to have time on his hands and needs a new project.

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

You may be correct that Scott as an Agent may exit stage left when things go to trial because Scott is always right. That being said, Pete's assorted "Statements of Fraud" all have a contact listed as RogueSupport Inc, attention Scott Duncan, in trust, and the address of a UPS drop box at ...

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

I'm certain he doesn't either. You are right, nonsense is nonsense regardless of the language it is in. I'm equally certain it will get all the regard and attention it deserves. It may be nonsense, but there is actually a bit of perverted logic here. Some one has been doing a bit of research on oth...

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

Pete claimed that the CRA damaged the drain valve so that's why I mentioned it. The reason the manufacturer no longer uses that valve style is because: 1. although very compact they are fragile and easily damaged so that they leak; 2. sediment builds up so that you can't open/close the valve. I've h...

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

That's an older heater, most likely a Giant brand is what it looks like to me. That particular style of drain valve was used mostly on that brand up until about eight or ten years ago. Giant hot water heaters are really common in Quebec since there is a strange subsidy you can get from Hydro Quebec ...

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

Since Pete is a follower of Scott Duncan he shouldn't have to read the warrant. The answer to life was written by Scott in the Tender for Law series around five years ago and is fixed and immutable. No deviation or argument is allowed since we are constantly reminded of the fact that "Scott is ...

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

As promised, here's an update on Pete. It's a total madhouse over on his site:https://www.facebook.com/groups/lasuretedesapersonne/ It's getting hard to keep up with everything going on. To add to the fun there have even been posts by people gloating over Scott's problems using obvious fake profiles...

Re: Tax protest murderer -Ian Bush

I actually ran into Ian Bush many years ago when he was employed at the mill in Gold River. I guess the constant rain eventually got to him since he left his employment under a bit of a cloud: http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/ian-bush-suspect-in-ottawa-triple-murder That was one trip I hated...

I missed the 1959 eclipse but was in a great spot and time for the 1963 eclipse. Of course, this being my family, it was viewed as a teaching moment for basic optics and construction of pin hole cameras.

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

From a cursory glance at Normandin, although he employs many of the typical FMOTL tactics to avoid paying taxes, he could be best defined as a Catholic/Monarchist/Constitutionalist. Summary - he doesn't have to pay taxes because Quebec doesn't have a constitution approved by the Monarchy and God in ...

Way back when for us they used Tuareg - tried to teach it to us for a week to assess our ability to learn another language Nothing like being taught a Berber language by a native of Belgium. BTW, because of four years of being taught French by Belgians I speak it with a definite Flemish accent. A fr...

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

I actually went back to see if I could establish the provenance of the quote in question. Le Devoir is a respected paper and certainly wouldn't publish something if it wasn't said by Pierre-André Paré (damn, my keyboard won't go into French when I want it to). For many years it was considered the ne...

Re: Scott Duncan strikes back in Quebec

Pierre-André Paré was the deputy minister of Revenue Quebec in the early 1990's. In layman's terms he was the chief tax collector for the province. Here is the full quote from Le Devoir which on the surface could appear to justify Pete`s approach to payment of taxes, or at least in his own mind: The...
