Re: No property taxes in the USA prior to the 1930s?

Or, they could have just wandered in to their local county tax assessor’s office and asked how far back their tax records go, territory or statehood being the answer, and so much for a really silly statement from fantasy land. Except it would all imply doing some actual research and then believing ...

Re: Dorean aftermath

My only supposition at this point is that local charges haven’t been brought on consideration of the very considerable expense of trying the two idiots, which won’t be cheap, vs the end result. They got far more time on the Fed charges, effectively life, than they probably would on the state fraud ...

Re: Dorean aftermath

I would suspect that any forthcoming criminal prosecutions would be at the state level since that is where the actual fraud happened. The only thing I can see is that the time on most of those charges would be insignificant in comparison to the federal charges they’ve already been hit with, but I’m...

Re: Dorean aftermath

So have criminal fraud charges against the dim duo been filed there yet? There was some rumor that some had been in Riverside Co., CA, and I would bet there will be some from IL wasn’t it?

Old rule of thumb, if you can’t identify the guilty parties, they are guilty parties, and run for the hills wallet firmly in hand.

Re: No property taxes in the USA prior to the 1930s?

You probably did see at least one of the original copies, there were many. All legal documents of the time were written in Latin since it was the only language read consistently throughout the then known world. The document itself is to my eyes largely illegible due to the old Latin, the calligraph...

Re: No property taxes in the USA prior to the 1930s?

Point of order, the Magna Carta was written in Latin, not English of any high middle or low variety, not that it would be any easier to read, despite some their beliefs that Latin phrases have magical significance.

Re: The Brown Supporter Trial

Very simply. they don’t like being reminded of their on going failures, and the failures of their “once” idols proven all too false. It is easier to believe you have a viable cause when you can conveniently forget all the examples of failure that keep telling you you are backing a losing position.

I’m afraid, that I have to agree with Demo on this particular point. First, let me be very clear on this first point. I think that D the d is a grade A first class jerk and idiot rating about 9.9 on a 10 point scale, and on the human scale about 3. It is my considered opinion, that he, and his brot...

I personally think von Nuthouse has really gone off the deepend at this point. What amuses me is that there are enough sufficiently stupid, reality challenged individuals out there to fall for this latest line of nonsense, and when he things he has enough cash he can do a Doug Cameron and disappear...

Re: Claims the 1099/W-2 is false to obtain refund

Kimokeo, I agree with you that this is probably one of the dumber stunts some of the nutjobs pull, and in my experience, it is a pretty good short cut to the unemployment line, except the state won’t except mordant stupidity as a valid excuse and so there go the unemployment checks. The state isn’t...

Well, if this doesn’t lend credence to the money laundering charge I don’t think anything will. How much you wanta bet they don’t have the necessary licenses to be doing this either, and a bunch more of their customers/suckers are going to get taken again.

Re: Dogwalker's defense strategy

While incompetence, were it present, would bar D the D from participating in and being aware of his actual case, plain old fashioned bone jarring stupidity is not a defense. I am very much afraid that what they are actually dealing with is the later and not the former. The fact that he believes the...
