But more to the point, it would be giving in to the deniers' tactics to overwhelm the IRS with an endless process of paper.

Re: Taxpayer Advocate Want IRS To Identify Friv Arguments To Taxpayer

But Olson is arguing this situation: To illustrate the distinction, TAS has seen cases in which an unrepresented taxpayer accidentally transposed two lines from a Form W-2 when completing the taxpayer’s return. This innocent error results in an overreporting of withholding that generates a refund an...

Re: "practical lawful dissent" fmotl advisory group

That's an excellent suggestion and reminds me of time when a federal district judge was handling a summons enforcement for the IRS due to the individual in question who had been refusing to cooperate with providing the information listed on the summons. Our recalcitrant anti-hero had basically stood...

Taxpayer Advocate Want IRS To Identify Friv Arguments To Taxpayer

Nina Olson, on the Taxpayer Advocate Office's website blog, is pushing for the IRS to identify to taxpayers exactly what kind of frivolous argument that the taxpayer appears to be adopting in their filings. In addition she believes such situations would be best served by giving the taxpayer due proc...

This is why I advocate the government taking the sovrun/FOTLers' arguments to their logical conclusion and agreeing that they are not under the law of the country. So they no longer have to pay taxes or bills or anything of that nature anymore; they will not be required to have a driver's license/pe...

Re: Orth - TP uses WEvGOV.com materials but avoids 6673 penalty

The general argument that "my-time/labor-wipes-out-my-gain" has been around for a long, long time and has never been accepted by the courts here in the US. Yet we continue to see new idiots swallowing this nonsense and trying to litigate it as though it was the newest concept under the sun.

Look at Peter E. ("Blowhard") Hendrickson. When his nonsense is shot down in court, he strains to explain that his nonsense was not really shot down, because his followers just didn't present his nonsense quite correctly, or that the courts didn't use "just the right" words to e...
