Jeffrey Moffett: Tax Court disbarment the sleazy way!

Post by KickahaOta »

The US Tax Court released an announcement of disciplinary action for four attorneys yesterday, at http://www.ustaxcourt.gov/press/041317.pdf. This is usually boring stuff.

However, a certain Jeffrey Moffett found a most unusual way to get himself disbarred in Arizona, and reciprocally by the Tax Court. He offered to barter his legal services in return for nude pics and "physical attention". The Tax Court press release helpfully includes the Facebook Messenger chat logs.

The disbarment memorandum goes on for 15 pages, because Mr. Moffett filed a blizzard of motions and subpoenas, clearly convinced that this was a miscarriage of justice. (Spoiler alert:
it wasn't.
