Financial Solutions Educational Institute

The latest entry in the we guarantee to take your money while promising to get you out of debt.... fill in the blanks sweepstakes.

I just love an outfit that touts their DEBT RELIEF section with the following:

Numerous Consumer Protection laws, such as Truth in Lending, Fair Debt Collections, and Fair Credit Reporting, and Commercial and Contract Law define the way banks and lending institutions can legally function.

Federal and state banking laws allow banks to lend money - not credit. They aren't allowed by law to create credit or money out of thin air. They can't lend you something they don't have, and they can't charge you interest on something that doesn't exist!

Let's see, other than the few hundred Dorean "victims," I know far too many who only degraded their already tenuous financial situation and a handful of others who finally resorted to bankruptcy. Anecdotally, if one believes the creditor's rights bar the numbers must be in the thousands.
