There has been an extensive thread here on Quatloos about the Fed, what it is and what it does and how it operates and how it's very existence confuses the "free man on the land" sovrun and similar types. Gregg will discuss it with you in depth, but only if you have at least a masters in economics.

Otherwise, it should be filed in the bad, and poorly written fantasy section and left to rot, along with the sexual exploits of gassy rassy.

It's been a long, long time. Thread may have been expunged. Try searching on Fed for a start. You also might pm Gregg

This is one of the threads that Gregg went into detail in and a lot of us talked about the Fed. There's been tow or three threads he talked about the Federal Reserve, including one of PatriotDiscussions threads.

The book is a very tendentious history of the beginnings of the Federal Reserve System, suggesting that it was cooked up conspiratorially on the resort at Jekyll Island, Georgia.

In fact the Federal Reserve Act was one of the most thoroughly vetted pieces of legislation in history. The Congress studied the topic for many years, through successive Congresses, and reprinted in full (at what must then have been enormous expense) entire books on the central banking systems of other countries. One thing that was done was that various experts, including foreign directors of central banks, were invited (and probably paid) to share their knowledge with the responsible Congressmen -- rather than quiz these experts in discomforting hearings and the limelight, they were treated to the very congenial atmosphere of the private country club on Jekyll Island, which probably encouraged them to be very helpful.

I like that word, I have a new and appropriate word to harass people with. Otherwise CFJI qualifies as a work of fantasy.
