And they wonder why Nigerians repeatedly keep at these scams. Sometimes it seems they're very profitable.
I think it is astonishing -- and very informative for sociologists and the like -- that lots of people, in the US no less, are still being taken in by this even after YEARS of exposes and warnings in the media.
Of course, a good many of the victims won't even report this for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was that they themselves thought they were getting rich by means of a criminal conspiracy to violate both Nigerian and US law, so going to the authorities means admitting their criminal intent.
