Facebook notified me to contact them about my notification

Not sure where else to put this since there really isn't enough info to inform the decision. At work, I got this email at work which says it's from Facebook Administration (I don't have an account) but our email client says otherwise. I edited out my work email address and disabled the facebook.com support URL to prevent a click-through. All braces are original to the email as copied to paste here.

I moved this to the Identify Theft section as it is a phishing scam. The "support" URL (which you kindly disabled but left visible) clearly indicates that it does not go to the real Facebook support page, so they're hoping that you'll enter your Facebook information on their phony page so they can "hack" your account.

Whenever someone comes across an email like this, no matter how official looking it may seem they should never click the link in the email, but access the site using a more official method (like manually going to facebook.com to log into your account).

Facebook will never contact you directly to warn of anything like this. You might want to see if there is a way that you can forward this e-mail to them (usually, there's an address like spoof@facebook.com), since they can take action to try to stop the scammers.

A slightly different phishing scam. My Hotmail account keeps getting letters, in plaintype with no personal address, saying that, due to something, Hotmail is weeding thru all its accounts and I must must must provide a bunch of personal details, including my Hotmail password, right away or else my account will be terminated.

Naturally the sending address is NOT the Hotmail management and sometimes isn't even in the Hotmail domain.
