Time for the annual scam

I got this in my old hotmail account a couple days ago and found it today.

Dear Internal Revenue Service customer,

After the last annual calculation of your fiscal activity we have determined that you are eligible to receive a tax refund of $120.50 AUD.

Please submit the tax refund form and allow us 3-5 business days in order to process it.

To access the form for your tax refund, please Click Here.

NOTE!
Thank you,
Internal Revenue Service Online Department.

The actual sender is kgcqrs@account.net, emphatically not Internal Revenue Service. IRS has a policy and has NEVER sent out refund solicitations via email. Since they do advise of efiled refunds via email, idiots will fall for this one. Again. Can you say, "identity theft"? I knew you could!

If you still have the message, please contact TIGTA. They take a severely dim (and actionable) view of this sort of thing.

Thanks, Nikki, I do and I will.

edited to add--I did, and it's easier than you think. Just hit "forward" on your email, and put phishing@irs.gov in the address bar to send it to. This insulted my intellect enough that I found it very satisfactory to hit 'send".
