Actually, they were calling for my mom who wasn't there. I just happened to be there and answered the phone and when they asked for Mr. Johnson I said that was me since the guy was talking with a foriegn accent that already sounded like a telemarketer. He said congratulations, you have won a check for $75,000. Of course he said I am sure you have been contacted about this, which he and I both knew I had not, especially since he was first calling to speak to my mom in the first place. He did know the address and said there were people out delivering checks in my area that day. All I had to do was pay the person delivering the check $95.00 cash for some kind of IRS processing fee to make it legal. First I told him I wasn't falling for his scam and of course he said it was legitimate and he had been in that business for 27 years. Of course my mom never entered any kind of drawing and as everyone knows, nobody makes you pay for a prize. If you win something big enough in the lottery, they take the taxes out of your winnings. Of course this is not supposed to be the lottery. Anyway, I told him I didn't have any money. He said he would cover $50.00 of it and I could go Western Union the $45.00 to an address in California and then Western Union the other $50.00 after I deposit the check. I siad I had no money at all, but I would have it the next day around 5pm. He is supposed to call me tomorrow at 5. I called the police and they have arranged for a detective to be there waiting in the house to bust the person coming to deliver the check. I know it want be the main guy, but it will be somebody involved.
