Today I was approached via the email by a Mrs. Scott who has this to say:

MY NAME IS ANITA SCOTT, I AND MY HUSBAND ARE ON A
CHRISTIAN MISSION TO AFRICA AND I CAME ALONG WITH MY
PUPPY.
AFTER A WHILE I NOTICE THAT THE AFRICAN WEATHER IS
NOT GOOD FOR THE PUPPY (YORKIE) AND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TAKE GOOD
CARE OF HER THE WAY I ALWAYS DO BECAUSE OF MY JOB. I NEED A SOMEONE TO
ADOPT HER AND TAKE CARE OF HER THE WAY I ALWAYS DO. IF YOU CAN TAKE GOOD
CARE OF HER DO SEND A REPLY AND I WILL EMAIL YOU HER PICTURES.
I HOPE TO READ FROM YOU.
REGARDS,
ANITA.

I can only imagine the difficulties that might occur in scoring the cur from The Dark Continent. This is a new one for me.
Any one else?

Ah, so Mrs. Scott is still around then? I had others like this from different names, but always the same story line.
Once a recipient shows interest it quickly moves on to the old "Send me money for fees by Western Union" routine. I believe such emails are known as "puppy scams".

I kind of figured that but did not feel like starting it up even for the grins. Thanks for the confirmation.''

I have heard of this scam. They are selling purebred puppies which don't even exist.
