This sounds like one of those very cunning plans to get all the Quatloosians in one place so that we can be eliminated in one fell swoop.

The only reason I would consider appearing would be if Demo passes out copies of her book.

Any chance of a lunch on the 4th in DC? I'll be in for the ABI, but will be leaving that evening and am tied up on Thurs night with old friends.

I am in DC on May 8th and 9th for the ABA Tax Section May meeting, but alas the 5th would be a bit too long to extend the trip.

Wait a tic, that's a tuesday...sorry, can't do it. For those of you devastated by this, I will be in Gettysburg for Memorial Day weekend.... where I invite anyone who cares to join me at the Pennsylvania Memorial as I demonstrate that it doesn;t matter if you agree with the law of gravity, it still applies to you and you can only appeal after you have fallen.

Boy, I would like to go but it ain't gonna happen. Too many things tying me to Texas. Summer, when school is out, is about the only time we can get away. (My wife is a school teacher, and also both of us have to be present to handle my son.)

I just checked my schedule; I will be in town on April 2 and will leave late on April 3; I could meet you/Tax Man/ whoever for lunch on Friday, but my plane leaves that night (I've got a trial scheduled on Monday, the 6th).

May 5th was chosen because Jay (Mr. Quatloos) will be in town, but there's no reason why some of us can't also gather on alternative dates.

Tell Jay I'm sorry, but Leif Clark, USBJ/WD Tex, expects me bright and early on April 6. Still, if anyone wants to try to meet for lunch on the 3d, I can be anywhere Metro runs (I've got to give a speech at the Gaylord late in the afternoon).

I'm flying into DC on the 29th of April and leaving the 30th around 4PM. The only time I would have is any time after 5PM on the 29th, and then for a few hours before my flight leaves on the 30th. Do any of those small time frames work out?
