The truly ironic/falling down funny part, is that Der Kaiser would have given them very short shrift, flaunting authority and not paying taxes would have not been healthful activities in the Alte Reich. Considering that he was supposedly one of the top tax payers of the era I doubt he would have been amused.

Especially since the Kaisers were from the House of Hohenzollern; the name (literally "high customs") originates from the family's origins of levying customs in their lands.

No drinking? No local craft beer while typing out Quatloos postings or a bottle of wine for the epic postings? Makes them a non-starter for me.

And now the Reichsburgers are getting analyzed by Statista. It turns out they are getting violent.

I do as well. I get this ridiculous mental image of a hamburger cafe that has a mascot wearing a pickelhaube with a burger impaled on its spike.

I picture a restaurant where the managers are dressed up like Prussian generals, with the supervisers as Prussian NCOs and the waitstaff as Prussian privates, all wearing blue uniforms and pickelhauben. You must stand at attention when placing your order, or addressing any of the staff. The waitstaff click their heels when they take your order, and when they depart your table after serving your meals. When you are served your burger, it is impaled on a bayonet. When you are ready to pay your bill, the check is likewise impaled.

Instead of replying to my post, Pottapaug accidentally edited it. From the MCP:

Guardian report on Reichsburgers
A strategic rural land grab by rightwing extremists is taking place across Germany with the concerted aim of creating communities independent of the state, according to the domestic intelligence agency and government ministries.
