I haven't thought about Pioneer in 30+ years - going back to my college days.

It seems to me the worst part of growing older is not even remembering what you don't remember any more until someone brings up a bit of nostalgia.

Thank you for bringing back a long lost memory.

I and SO used to live near where there was a Pioneer next to an A&W. We'd get a 12 piece chicken order and a gallon of draft rootbeer and make a weekend of it.

Thing is, the basic recipe for Pioneer wasn't much different from other places. But somehow the method they used made the chicken come out lighter and more flavorful.
