Yankson said his girlfriend didn't vote for him, and he didn't vote for himself. They both live in another riding in East Vancouver, and they're busy with a new baby.
The Platinum Party's mandate is all about "the books," said Yankson. Fiscal books, that is.
It's a unique platform, with some suggestions falling somewhere outside the mainstream political box.
One concern is "to make sure our elected representatives have insurance policies," he said, because if they break their oath to their constituents, "they could run into liabilities."
The party website - marked by eight different colours of text - lists its goal as ensuring "accountability and authentication of authority and all fiscal and calendar accounts of all members of the provincial government and their partners."
It also calls for a "psychic forensic political investigator" to point out acts of government abuse.
Yankson, a former film school instructor, had to get 75 signatures and pay $250 in order to be on the ballot as a candidate.

So I was curious. What is the Platinum Party, and what does it stand for? Well… that turned out to be something of a strange exploration. Wikipedia reports (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Platinum_P ... _Awareness) the Platinum Party ran a total of 11 candidates. The Platinum Party website is an exercise in minimalism (http://www.platinumparty.org/), several pages of simple text almost randomly colour-coded in red, green, grey, and blue. The open page states (colours not reproduced) that:

Has the Government of British Columbia gone through the procedures necessary to maintain a legitimate position of authority over the current commercial world within their jurisdiction?
Does the Government of British Columbia ensure that their employees have the essential authorization documents:
1. Sworn and signed their oath
2. Deposited a security, money, property, or bond with or without securities
3. Are covered by a lawful liability insurance carrier
Without the above no agent can lawfully claim to perform the duties they have been empowered with.
Does the Government of British Columbia ensure that there is adequate checks and balances should a government employee be cited for the incidence of a civil abuse?
As an outsider looking in at the operation of the government, it is mind boggling to try and figure it all out!

The second branch takes us to “CREO HARMONY”, a host of videos and other materials by “Jaguar” and “Captain Jade”. Again, there seems to be a ton of stuff here, so I will for interested readers identify the starting points I have located to date:

Then there’s http://www.espavosozo.com/ - a wordpress blog that has no content other than weird image of tattooed baby emblazoned with the Platinum Party logo preparing for battle? Similarly http://espavosozo.blogspot.ca/ is titled “Public Servant Notice - For those that want to Claim their Inheritance”, but has no other content.
A curious descent into yet another tangent in Sovereign/Freeman community. One thing that has surprised me is that there seems to be a lot of interest in the CREO HARMONY material, for example many of its Youtube videos have thousands of views, many more than one would typically see for a Canadian OPCA guru.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the Platinum Party, CREO HARMONY, and Jaguar/Espavo Sozo and Captain Jade are linked to the OPPT world, but I leave that question to those more familiar with that subject.
