Rick Van Thiel - Sovereign Porn Actor and Castrator

Yikes!
Before becoming an antigovernment “sovereign citizen,” Rick Van Thiel worked as a porn star, male escort and sex toy inventor in Las Vegas.
Now Van Thiel is in jail there, accused of practicing medicine without a license and claiming to have performed dozens of abortions, circumcisions, castrations, root canals, even cancer treatments.

“Prior to becoming a professional doctor, I was a sex machine inventor, swinger, BDSM master, porn actor and producer for 14 years, so I've seen it all,” Van Thiel wrote on his site. He claims the title “Dr. Rick” is a nickname, “not intended to infer state sanction or Rockefeller drug pushing training.”
Apparently opinions about what constitutes a professional doctor differ. At least his differs from mine.

Federal prosecutors have taken over an illegal gun possession charge against alleged phony doctor Rick Van Thiel, while state authorities pursue murder, sexual assault and other possible charges.
State prosecutors said Monday they would drop charges of an ex-felon in possession of a firearm, and that Van Thiel, a self-proclaimed sovereign citizen, would be taken into federal custody.
Van Thiel was charged in a federal complaint late Friday with a single felony count of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a prohibited person.

A man identified as Ronnie Leonard Grayson told authorities that he gave Van Thiel one of the weapons as collateral for a circumcision Van Thiel performed on him, the complaint says.
I had to reread that a few times to let the severity of whack-a-doodle-do going on here sink in

Glad to hear the weapon was just collateral, and was not actually used to perform the circumcision.

I had completely forgotten this character, too disturbing to remember? How did he find his patients/victims? Even your typical sovereign nutjob would I think or at least hope shy away from going under the knife of this wacko, yet somehow he somehow found a steady stream of willing guinea pigs. Sad, disturbing, and just plain crazy all at once.
