Coroner's officials have identified the body found two weeks ago in a burning car in a parking structure in Huntington Beach as James Michael Purcey.
Purcey, 59, was a Vietnam veteran and published a booked intended to expose the "lies and half-truths going on today in the United States," according his website, AmericaInDistress.com

It depresses me to see so many illiterate crackpots hell-bent on homeschooling. It's also frightening that so many of these folks seem to have a fear of vaccines, which typically leads to contact with one of their least-favorite organizations, i.e., any agency that is concerned with child welfare. (Witness the unfortunate situation with the Sovereign Royal Hippies and their kidnapped "Princess" in an older thread.)
And the "you have total control of your kids" bit is such typical Sovereign/Tax Denier crap. The sovereign feels like he's being controlled (to his detriment) by Teh Evil Gubmint, so he, in turn, exercises control over whatever he can--which is no-one save the weak, the desperate, and the stupid. Poor f'ing kids hardly stand a chance when there's a wingnut with delusions of sovereignty at the helm. It's so, so hard to avoid being brainwashed by virtue of exposure--particularly if the family is isolationist or eschews general company in favor of the like-minded. (Lest their brains accidentally start working.)
(I'm sure his death will be attributed to his getting "too close to the Truth.")

You have to understand, the use of ALL CAPS makes it a "straw website" and after Mr. Purcey filed his UCC 1 and UCC 3 forms he was able to access the hidden funds in the secret General Trust Fund that the US Corp. set up when he registered the website. It's better than AdSense for funding, shrewd webmastering if you ask me.
