The ship's engineer of a boat S/V Salvor111?
Hmm. A 48 foot trymaran, I believe, with Sage and Toni Million aboard.
Some kingdom. Even Sealand was larger than that.

My what an interesting looney or set of loonies, I'm not quite sure which.

The fact that you sincerely and wholeheartedly believe that the “Law of Gravity” is unconstitutional and a violation of your sovereign rights, does not absolve you of adherence to it.

Thank you for the warnings, everyone.

On my own website, I've posted a number of warnings for outright scams in the field of "micronations":

http://www.angelfire.com/nv/micronations/warning.html

If you can think of any more things to warn my visitors about, let me know.

I enjoyed a casual scan of several of the pages, just now; and in the section on Confederate Reconstruction, under the heading "New Confederacy", I noticed a screed in which, among other things, those living in the reconstituted CSA would not be citizens, but "Sovereign Freemen". The author of the new CSA Constitution identifies herself as living in the Republic of Arizona.

There's so much to criticize here (like her dubious concepts of "legality"), and so little time to do it; but it's interesting to see this particular take on sovrun idiocy.

The problem for neo confederates is that most, possibly all, of the major cities of the south have outgrown that ideology. They are multicultural/cosmopolitan hives of human interaction that just wouldn't fit it anyone's antebellum revival. The new CSA would have to be a place so far off the grid that its only media would be a select few AM talk shows.

I think that most sovruns share the problems of neo-Confederates. They believe passionately in an idyllic, halcyon America That Never Was, which was stolen from all Sovereign Freemen on the Land by [insert the villain(s) of your choice here].

I just list them, I don't try to correct them. I've noticed that many of the "Condeferate Reconstructionist" groups are often short-lived.

Examples: http://www.angelfire.com/nv/micronation ... ngcsa.html

Either they lose interest or decide to join other much larger groups like "League of the South (LoS)" or "Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV)".

Maybe the groups fall apart when the beer runs out?

Reminds me of what Bo Gritz said when he tried to talk some sense into the "Justus Township" sovrun folks in Montana a few years back. He called their justifications for their actions "legalistic gobblygook" and commented "They'll be out with their hands up as soon as they run out of cigarettes."

Turns out that when they DID surrender, the first thing they did was ask for cigarettes.
