FAIRBANKS, Alaska — A Superior Court judge has rewarded an informant in a murder plot prosecution. Judge Kari Kristiansen found that Gerald Olson's work to foil an alleged plot to kill judges and other officials should mitigate his sentence in a septic tank case. The 36-year-old Olson was accused of defrauding septic customers. He pleaded guilty to second-degree theft.
