Yet another sovereign vs police incident

Post by Lambkin »

Meet the Quatloos Jackass of the Day: Richard Hessil. Don't worry, there will be another one tomorrow.

According to the criminal complaint filed Jan. 30 in Waukesha County Circuit Court, at about 11 p.m. a Butler officer saw a car driven by Richard P. Hessil, of 12874 Lancaster Ave., with a burned out headlamp. The officer believed Hessil had a suspended driver’s license and knew Hessil "to be confrontational with law enforcement as he is a sovereign citizen," the complaint said.
As Hessil refused to cooperate a struggle ensued and a second officer arrived to assist, the complaint said.
Hessil was charged with a felony count of resisting an officer causing a soft tissue injury to an officer, and misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct and failure to obey a traffic signal.

Sovrun lesson of the day: how to turn a broken headlight into a felony. Social Darwinism at work.

Funny - he often shows up at the top of my "recommended friends" list on Facebook. I've seen him make blindingly stupid on posts of mutual acquaintances. Here's his FB profile: https://www.facebook.com/hessil

I suspect his views on the government might be influenced by....

GMAC Mortgage, LLC vs. Richard P. Hessil et al
Waukesha County Case Number 2011CV004297

The guy's an electrician too. A felony conviction isn't going to be good for future employment situations.
