Constitutional Sheriffs Convention

Post by notorial dissent »

As if things weren't scary enough, this popped up recently.

Peace Officers(Convention) Uniting to End State and Federal Tyranny. Las Vegas, NV, Jan 29-31, 2012

Among other things here is a list of the topics of discussion at the convention:
  • Bill of Rights Training from Michael Badnarik
Presentation on the Second Amendment from Larry Pratt
Presentation on the Tenth Amendment and state sovereignty
Presentation on the threat of Agenda 21 to state sovereignty
Presentation on Continental Congress 2009’s Articles of Freedom
County Sheriff Success Stories on Enforcing the Bill of Rights
Presentation on formation of a Sheriff’s Posse
Joint Declaration notifying specific federal agencies about specific violations that county sheriffs will no longer tolerate in their counties.
I find this about as scary and probably more disturbing than some of the sovrun stuff that we hear more about, and these people are serious, and they have guns.

The ungrammatical first two sentence fragments from the convention page:
For a long time until about 10 years ago. The FBI had to ask the county Sheriffs permission before they can come into the county.
It goes downhill from there.

Sounds about right to me, seeing as they are still thinking it's the 1870's.

  • Presentation on the threat of Agenda 21 to state sovereignty
"Agenda 21" sounds like a conspiracy theory, and it is.

According to an actual candidate for the US Senate, it's a UN-controlled international conspiracy to eliminate golf courses (among other things).

What's truly scary is reading the comments of some of the locals in the paper here who went to this, going on about how much they learned at the convention. Now that is really getting on to scary.
