Came across this report from last January.
Wonder what happened.

We think he did a plea deal for a misdemeanour.

This was covered in the following thread:

http://quatloos.com/Q-Forum/viewtopic.p ... it=bicycle

His name is Robert Peterson, this happened in Idaho in August 2012. His courthouse behavior escalated a trifling traffic ticket (for riding his bicycle after dark without a headlight!) into a felony.

It appears that he copped a plea that did not impose any jail time:

No word at all on his threat to bring a lawsuit, which I suppose was derailed by his own plea.

He evidently is a member of the local Constitution Party:

There was an Idaho news report about 6 months ago about 'Sovereigns" in Idaho setting up in foreclosed houses, to which they have no legal right, and one of them was a "young man" named Robert Peterson, but the report did not breathe a hint that it was the same guy as the taser incident.

Thanks for the links.

I wonder if the court could impose a fine for a frivolous law suit.

In general, no.

Sanctions for frivolous suits are rare. IMHO the courts are far too lenient when it comes to letting bozos play their games with the system.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these sovrunidjits are judgment-proof, or close to it; but the court could, I suppose, make them sell their favorite toys (even if they don't bring much) and then enjoin them against buying them back.

About the outcome of his tasering experience:

Records

CRIME REPORTS . . . . .

SENTENCINGS . . . . . .
Robert W. Peterson, 22, Hayden: 180 days in jail with 154 days suspended and credit for time served, $152.50 in fines and one year probation for criminal contempt of court.
I have been unable to find any info on whether he was involved in the break-ins and takeovers of foreclosed properties.

I think he was indeed associated to the foreclosed homes misadventure. The ABC news story Fortinbras posted includes this bit:

But putting his beliefs into practice has produced non-stop conflict for Peterson. Aside from arguing traffic violations, he at one point declared a nearby $370,000-foreclosed home to be his property. He even put a sign out front that said "this is my spot now."

Apparently the local sheriff talked him out of there and he's back living with mom.
