I assume when he says he follows the Constitution to the letter, we can count on him not to quarter soldiers in our homes.

So now he's in California, having failed to impress the courts in Hawaii, and having failed to be convicted of anything in Georgia. Unfortunately (for everyone including him), California is a magnet for nutcases and the courts in every large city have had to deal with these amateur Clarence Darrows, and while he may gum up the works a bit, the courts are probably primed to deal with him inhospitably.

Their webpage is a trove of bad ideas.

This one is particularly alarming and disturbing, only because there are persons who will read this and fail to realize it is "too good to be true."

"See if you qualify for a mortgage payment reduction. If you qualify, Mortgage Enterprise Investments eradicates
your loan and eliminates your interest rate
. This is NOT debt consolidation, refinancing or credit counseling. This is a unique process that our company has discovered to lawfully assist you in owning your home in the shortest amount of time.

Example:

If your mortgage payment is $1000 for 30 years, then if you qualify your mortgage service payment will be $500 for 15 years. Under your current mortgage payment you would pay $360,000 in 30 years. With our plan you will pay a $90,000 mortgage service payment for 15 years and own your home. Why pay the bank an extra $270,000 in payments when you don’t have to? Call one of our specialist and see if you qualify today.
(Individual results may vary)"

So, I guess they don't just "modify" mortgages, they "eradicate" them, through a process that only they know how to do.

I am thinking the temperature of whatever room they are in exceeds the IQ of their average mark, but that might just be disparaging the would be victims. This is some bad stuff going on here.

Anthony Williams is now in the Miami area, making a nuisance of himself again, and using a Republic FOR the USA license plate on his car.

I am incredibly curious what they call replacing a $360k debt with a $90k debt if not refinancing.

I sure hope anyone that is seriously looking into them asks some rather important questions like:
  • You claim to eliminate debt - how is replacing one debt with another (admittedly smaller) debt eliminating it?

The obvious answer is - it isn't eliminating it. This is just a pipe dream thought up by these wackjobs and that it likely has never once happened. As usual, these types claim to be the only ones who understand the law and they don't detail their secret procedure for achieving "too good to be true" results. There is probably a good reason for their not disclosing that, too.

The comments to that article are hilarious. Williams has one of his "PAGs" type comment after comment extolling his virtues. It's like these people think he's Jesus. It is so far over the top that I wonder if it isn't a giant leg-pull, like some have suggested about Karen Hudes. One lady named Robyn Kelley, who per their pseudo-law office's website proclaims to be a "Private Attorney General" just like good ol' Williams, even says he "has never lost a case." She also claims it is all perfectly legal, otherwise he would've been locked up a long time ago.

While I do have to express some level of amazement at the fact that her last point has persuasive value - but only because it is so odd that he is somehow still running this scam - it remains that what he is doing is blatantly illegal. Either it is a leg pull, or a government drag -net to get idiots off the streets, or she hasn't looked very far.

How about Marquez v. Butchko, referenced in the article itself? 15-20111, United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.

Or, another opinion of the same date, Hickenbottom v. Stone, 15-60153-CIV-COHN, United States District Court, Southern District Florida. In this one, it even points out that acting as an attorney, or holding oneself out to be qualified to practice when one isn't, is a "class 3 felony."

I'm just curious why, with all the connectivity-tools prosecutors have at their disposal in this internet-intensive world, why these felonies aren't being prosecuted?

I have wondered the same thing...

Oh and there is also his case in Tennessee, which I guess his "law office" will claim he didn't lose either, State of Tennessee vs. Anthony Troy Williams, Case No. M2012-00242-CCA-R3-CD - Filed October 3, 2012, which was an appeal that confirmed a conviction for driving without a license. It appears he did the full-blown "I am not my person" gibberish dance. It didn't work that time either. His conviction, which involved a 6-month sentence and a $2,500 fine, were both upheld. That sure sounds like a loss to me! :)

Perhaps it's true...... in a sense.

When you have your buddies set up a "citizen grand jury" at your local Denny's and you bring your case, I think it should be considered a slam dunk that you'd win.

On the other hand - if they ever loose such a situation I think it'll be a sign for that particular "private attorney general" that his fellow crazies are no longer buying what he's selling.

Would that be a "grand slam" or a "lumberjack slam?"

The answer, I'll bet, has to do with Anthony "not being a person". Whoever/whatever lost that case in Tennessee, it wasn't the living, breathing, sentient, flesh-and-blood soul commonly known as Anthony Troy Williams -- or something of the sort.

The driver's license case mentioned by Davids:

https://scholar.google.com/scholar_case ... 0786925928

citable as: 2012 Tenn.Crim.App. LEXIS 832, 2012 WL 4841547

The grounds for his appeal were: he could not be charged with driving on a suspended license since he had never had a Tenn. license. And the biggie: "he is not required to have a driver's license if he is not traveling in commerce and no state can impose regulations that restrict the freedom of travel on the highways and roadways."
He also kept up the claim that he was the "attorney in fact" for the "legal fiction" of Anthony Troy Williams, and that he had copyrighted his name.

...and of course, one can't ignore his loss in Hawaii...

Malinay v Nishimura, U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii, Case No. 001:13-00372.

In that one, his case was dismissed as well.

It appears that Williams lost the three civil cases on sua sponte (court's own motion) dismissals, before the other party even appeared. So his opponent didn't even have to speak, or write, and he lost. Yet, he tells his followers he is "perfecting" law. :brickwall:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Common-L ... 74?fref=ts

A link to the Facebook page for their organization. Wherein he promotes many false ideas about the legal system, but notably, has pictures of an RuSA license plate, posts about common law grand juries, and has a giant yellow fake government seal which has an eagle and the words "verified in compliance" on it.

So this guy sure gets around. Hawaii, California, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia...And why is it that he has his site promoting nearly every hair-brained sovrun organization known to recent man? RuSA? Rod Class? Common Law Grand Juries (has he ever heard of Terry Trussel)?

:sarcasmon: Maybe he's trying to round up all the crazies in one place, so they can all be conveniently arrested. :snicker:

Williams's peregrinations seem to be controlled by his run-ins with the law. He was arrested and jailed in Indiana, left for Hawaii, extradited to Georgia on multiple charges of child molesting - once there and despite a revised indictment the prosecution suddenly dropped the case and he left for Florida. Like other con-men, he stays in one place until he's pretty well bilked people to the maximum and maybe started to be found out, and then he departs for some distant spot where he is unlikely to be followed by the people he already victimized.

Or - perhaps he's trying to "cover it all"
  • 1: All whonky theories of law? Getting there!
  • 2: All States and Territories of the USA? Lots to go!
