Jim Rivas on Emerald Passport: "Never Mind"

Perhaps some of you recall Rivas from the old board. He was a major pusher of Emerald Passport, one of those "pay us a fortune for 'training' materials from anonymous authors and then sell the 'opportunity'" ripoffs. He made a couple of posts here, until the general derision drove him off (but not before making a fairly prominent Google hit).

As I posted on the old board, a few months ago he started his own business, something called "InterProsperidigm Seminars", which promises "revolutionary prosperity". They "Guarantee That In One Day You'll Discover the Key Secrets of How To Become the 'Oprah' or 'Donald Trump' of Your Niche Using Simple Internet and Telecom Technology". He'll teach you how to "Double or Triple your profits by 30% - 50% in 6 - 12 months" (I think he ought to check his math), "Develop that Idea you have into Multi-Million Dollar Cash Volcano", and "Get Endless Referrals From Your Clients". (That wouldn't be a pyramid, now, would it?)

Well, now poor old Emerald Passport - from which our friend Jim claimed he made over a million bucks in just over a year - is out of our guy's favor. $1M per year apparently just doesn't cut it, folks. Now it's "LifePath Unlimited", where "unlimited culture of abundance, prosperity, delight and pleasure manifests to its fullest". They will "empower and inspire even the most advanced individuals far beyond your expectations. This extraordinary and uplifting experience is designed to let you completely overcome your fear and limiting beliefs allowing you to transcend into a whole new way of being filled with possibilities never before imagined." The last time I recall reading rhetoric this florid and overheated, a bunch of people took steps to ride a comet.

And, of course, it's an MLM. Not just any MLM, but one in "pre-launch". "We haven't done squat, folks, but give us your money anyway. Why, I'm on top of the pyramid on this one."

Lovely.

But Rivas' old site for signing up with Emerald Passport is still up.

Gotta cover the bases, right?
