Our friends at RealScam are the targets of a DDOS attack as I write this. Congratulations, guys, you're doing something right. And you'll still be doing it, long after the baby hackers behind the attack are drinking their Ripple around fires in oil drums.

We thank you all for your kind attention and it is to my profound relief and never ending gratitude that persons of far greater technical ability than myself are addressing this issue as we speak.

A gentle word of caution to the people who are paying for this attack, your only ally as far as we're concerned is apathy. A DDOS attack may shut us up for a bit but it only increases our motivation. If you were discomforted by what we were saying about you before, just wait till we get back online.

Seems to be back, although there's a delay on first access (one of the ways of handling a DDOS attack, if handled by a "dumb" interface.

The attack isn't over but we're dealing with it better. There is a very talented young man from the UK who had been on our "wish list" for some time in the event we found a need to expand our staff. His technical skills dwarf my "stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night" abilities and are making a big difference. I'm pleased to say that our most newly minted pair of RS Moderator Jackboots® are being worn by Jason "Poyol" Clark.
