First time I've heard of this happening. An undisclosed security issue has forced them to close the entire website including electronic filing. The only explanation to this point is this;
In an update posted on the CRA website, the agency said, "Upon becoming aware of an Internet vulnerability that affects some computer servers used by websites worldwide, we took down our online services, including electronic filing, and are taking steps to ensure that all information and systems remain safe."

And Dean Clifford out around the same time? Can't be a coincidence.

O well, it gives me an excuse not to do my own or various of my friends' taxes this weekend. No great loss except that I really would miss the auto-fill option whereby tax information that the CRA allready has is automagically put into your return if I wanted to do them off line.

It's all going over my head fast. As soon as they started discussing Apache Strut 2 I was lost.

Wasn't Beyonce charged with cultural appropriation for doing the Apache Strut at one of her shows?
