Mainstream news reports that Deogracias Earl Gray, a self-identified Edmonton, Alberta, Freeman-on-the-Land, has pled guilty to tax evasion and use of a forged document. Result? A $171,339.00 fine and 18 month conditional sentence (served in the community):

No sign of a reported judgment, but since the sentence was ordered today, it's a little early. No report I identified indicates whether Deogracias was in Queen's Bench or Provincial Court, but it's one of the two.Court heard that Gray filed an individual income tax return attempting to claim a refund of $228,452 in the 2008 tax year. Upon request for supporting documentation, Gray provided documentation that he had forged. Further, he initially refused to identify himself in preliminary court proceedings, claiming he was a member of the Freeman of the Land Society and not subject to Canadian Laws or taxes.
The attempt to claim the refund was not successful.
I see nothing else of interest online, other than Deogracias had registered the URL's "leads2.us" and "savewhat.com" a couple years ago. Those registrations have since expired.
