Elaine gets 35

She's 68 and had a release date of 04-30-2012 on the prior sentence. Add 85% of 35 years (29 years and 9 months) and she'll be almost 100 if she gets out alive.

Re: Elaine gets 35
This sentence is pretty much dictated by the statute and not discretionary with the court. This sentence is associated with her part in the explosives and firearms offenses, not the tax case. Ed's sentencing is being postponed while the shrinks check him over, but I expect he'll get at least as much time.

Elaine gave quite the allocution today, blaming Scoop for all of her legal troubles. Seriously.

I am very interested in what Elaine said during her sentencing. Come on Scoop, give us the scoop.

Here's an excerpt from an article on http://www.boston.com:
"I'm 68 years old. I don't have much time left on this Earth. But I have no doubt I will spend eternity with my husband and a myriad of others who have fought tyranny and oppression," she said, pausing several times to clear her throat but maintaining a defiant tone.
Brown insisted that she and her husband were being punished for nothing more than civil disobedience and "daring to challenge and question this massive government."
"Our state motto is 'Live Free or Die,' which is what we proclaimed over and over during our resistance," she said. "I will always resist."
And off she goes to join all the other innocent people in prison....

Re: Elaine gets 35
According to the account of the true culprit (Scoop), the sentence the Court imposed was significantly below the Guideline. Damn jack-booted thugs.
Scoop's account of the allocution:
Damn, Scoop, why'd you put all those bombs in her house?
Scoop's account of the allocution:
Defiant until the end, Brown used her opportunity to address the court to scold federal authorities and the news media - including the Monitor - for what she said were unjust and unlawful attacks.
Comparing herself to Moses and the U.S. founding fathers, and citing the New Hampshire state constitution, Brown said that she would continue to resist federal authority. Brown spoke deliberately from prepared notes and paused several times to clear her throat.
"I do not submit and I will never submit," she told Singal, saying that she did not care about what sentence he imposed.
"I have no doubt I will spend eternity with my husband, in the company of myriad others who have fought tyranny and oppression," she said, to a smattering of applause from the gallery.
Damn, Scoop, why'd you put all those bombs in her house?

I'd love to know how Ed reacted to the news of the sentence.

Alex Jones's "Infowars" and "Prison Planet" web sites refer to the 35-year sentence as a "virtual death sentence."
A "virtual death sentence" that requires you to die of old age, or course.

I doubt Ed has (likely that some low-level staffer has mentioned it to him) or will ever give it a second thought.
Even though fully immersed in his idiotic delusions, he's been aware at some level for some time that they both were going to get at least 30 years tacked on to their existing time. Not to mention the evidence over the last few years that he couldn't care less about Elaine.
He's probably much more concerned about concocting and perfecting the magic gibberish for his next goofy UCC "argument" that will spring him after he gets done with his psych eval and is sentenced.
