Pearl man sentenced for tax evasion
The Associated Press

JACKSON, Miss. -- A Pearl man has been sentenced to nearly four years for failing to pay taxes on almost $800,000 in income.

U.S. District Judge Daniel P. Jordan sentenced Wiley Randolph "Randy" Kuyrkendall to 46 months in prison on Monday for failure to file federal income tax returns and fleeing from his criminal trial.
Kuyrkendall, a former State Farm insurance salesman, was also ordered to pay $443,806 in restitution to the Internal Revenue Service and $3,113.00 to the U.S. District Court.

A news release from the U.S. attorney's office said Kuyrkendall was a tax protester who had previously filed a federal civil lawsuit against the IRS. The lawsuit sought $1.1 billion and claimed Congress did not have authority to tax.

I'm sure I've seen his name around here before. Where there prior threads on him?

I had the same feeling, but can't find anything.

Obviously, he showed them the real law, cited the proper authorities, and defined jurisdiction, which means he won. But the spoilsport judge ruled that he lost.

I have a brief on my desk that I am about to file with the Tax Court that cites a case called Kuykendall v. Comm'r (not Kuyrkendall). That was what I was thinking of.

I ran the name through the harddrive o' Demo and came across 12 hits.

Nothing substantive, just multiple examples of Dave Champion exposing his email list for all to see by not using the blind copy function ... The guy used his statefarm.com email addy to subscribe to Dave's list.
