Following a four-day trial in U. S. District Court in Eugene, Jerry Lawrence Miller, 60, of Bend, was found guilty of five counts of income tax evasion and one count of conspiracy and faces up to 30 years in prison.
Miller and his wife, Rosemary Josephine Miller, along with codefendants William Blair Cardwell and Jennifer Ann Cardwell, were indicted in May 2009 charging them with conspiracy and tax evasion. The indictment superseded an earlier indictment, filed in 2007 against the four.
