And obviously didn't pay attention to the result, but then Dr D always thought he was so much smarter than everyone else, and had a "higher" power on his side, guess that didn't work out too well either.

Yes, but one wonders if somewhere in some internet archive if the original with the identifying information does not live on waiting to ruin yet another frothy alibi? The internet truly gives weight to the old maxim "that one should be careful of what one writes, and to who one gives it", particularly in this age of archives.

A joint report was due in to the Tax Court by December 31, 2011.

The docket record has not been updated to reflect any action regarding that.

Is that unusual?

Any way to tell if that report was filed?

If it wasn't filed, what might be expected as far as postings to the docket.

It seems the Tax Court is not particularly efficient in managing its on-line docket record.

Back to the original question at hand, has anyone heard or figured out why Dr D wanted to cancel the Tax Court case?

Nothing official about why Dr. Dino wanted to back out of Tax Court, but I figure it has something to do with realizing that he wasn't going to be able to play the games he's been playing with everyone else.

Or, maybe it's all part of the scheme to delay the inevitable until after he's dead.

He has managed to get his trial delayed and it probably isn't going to come up again for yet another year. The joint report is not even due until the end of this year.

In a sense, Dr. Dino is "wiiiiiinning".

dismissal.

The motion reflects that petitioner understands the

The Court disagrees with the parties that the case
can be dismissed without cause.

It is now a settled principle that a taxpayer may
not unilaterally oust the Tax Court from jurisdiction
which, once invoked, remains unimpaired until it
decides the controversy.

The Court recognizes that petitioner is currently in the
