Anson Chi has been moved to the United States Penitentiary at Atlanta, Georgia.

Anson Chi, inmate # 44588-177, is no longer at the Federal Penitentiary at Atlanta. He is now at the Federal Correctional Institution at Yazoo City, Mississippi. Unfortunately, his projected release date has changed from November of 2029 to February 5, 2030.

For the employees of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, of course!

Huh. Without knowing any details, I'll speculate that Mr. Chi had one or more problems of some sort with one or more inmates in Atlanta.

Which might explain 1) his transfer, and 2) his apparent loss of 15% "good time" on about 1.3 years of his incarceration thusfar, which 70 or so days is the amount of time by which his estimated release date was delayed.

I don't know about anyone else, but if they threw me in a federal pen for 20 years with the prospect of getting out after 17 years if I behaved myself, I think I'd shut up and mind my own business. Maybe the average TP who wants to blow up pipelines doesn't see it that way. Kinda like Ed, his Dear Leader.

Maybe he'll do better in Yazoo City.

When you have that long of a sentence it dosent matter if you get an extra few months or a year. You really stop caring. Essentially your life is over. Your nothing more than a number and what you see is all ya get for the rest of your forseable life. Time stops. No family. No friends. Most even stop getting visits alltogether after 3 years.

Just sayin. If your doing say, three years your life isnt over so the hole or losing goodtime matters.

Rubbish. This guy was about 35 when he got the 20. Behaving himself, he'd be about 52 when he got out. His life would hardly be over. Screwed up, but not over.

Sentence of 40 or 50 years? Yeah, then I'd agree.

On appeal, the Fifth Circuit ruled against Anson Chi's allegations that his confession was produced by torture and other challenges to his conviction and sentence:

Anson Chi is now at the Federal Correction Institution McKean near Lewis Run, Pennsylvania. His projected release date has been changed again -- to March 27, 2030.

Looks like he has gotten some of his good time back.
