1. Voluntary means voluntary.
2. That's not how you plead the fifth.
3. I could explain how it is voluntary, but you guys will call me an idiot and not believe it.
4. So I won't.
5. I can tell you that I voluntarily opt out of playing income tax games.
6. Most of you, if not all, volunteer to play.
7. Just like you voluntarily pay your cell phone bill, it is not any different.

So you know you have a moral and legal obligation to pay taxes, just as I have a moral and legal obligation to pay my phone bill, but you choose not to honor that obligation. I suspect that must of us knew that.

1. I have a moral and legal obligation to perform under contracts I entered into voluntarily, such as: Cox, APS, Water/sewage/trash, T-Mobile, Chase Credit Card, etc.
2. I never signed a W-4, nor did I obligate myself to the IR Service.
3. No, I do NOT have a moral or legal obligation to pay income taxes.
4. You have no idea what you are saying, yet AGAIN.
5. I am not you, I am me; you are a taxpayer, I am not; you are a public man, I am private; you requested service on a W-4 (or W-9), I did no such thing. We are mutually exclusive and opposite.

You are a liar.
you are a public man, I am private;
so what?
you requested service on a W-4 (or W-9), I did no such thing.
I never requested service on a W-4 (or W-9) either but you don't know why.
We are mutually exclusive and opposite.
I'm so glad - I'd hate to be doing something illegal, think inconsistently bordering on the delusionary, and be confused and unintelligent.

Has Congress Become a Tax Protester?

Post by bobhurt »

http://libertycrier.com/government/the- ... -voluntary

In this video of Rep Xavier Becerra D-CA interacts with IRS Commissioner, with both admitting and agreeing that we have a "voluntary system of paying our [federal income/wage] taxes".

What's voluntary about it?

In a word: compliance. Paying taxes is mandatory; but the government relies on us to comply, voluntarily, with our duty to do so. It steps in only when we fail in that duty.

Indeed we did, James, and some silly old chestnut like this is hardly worthy of the Tax Policy forum. Tax Protesters is much more apt.

Threads merged.

I think limited minds, limited reading comprehension, limited imaginations comes to mind more than anything else.

I guess single definition dictionaries must either be on sale or a whole cheaper than the real item these days.
