I'm beginning to think PoE is just a small wheel in the machine of karma. Look at the kind of people who are flocking to his standard. While the bank is German, I don't believe they would write a letter in German to an English address. Bump the video to 1080p, slow it down, and I believe you can just make out the english as transcribed above. It even looks as if he crossed our fraudulent, as he didn't agree with it. I have looked it it now multiple times, and am fairly certain my transcription is correct.

I think there is actually more that is legible, it looks like the next paragraph starts with kindly remit...I think if I spent the time, I could probably read most of that one. I like how Peter seems to think that there's something important about a cheque having a stamp on the back of it. Anyone who's worked in a bank knows that the first thing you do with any bit of paper that comes in the door is stamp it with an office stamp that shows the date and the office where it was received. Every time it moves on to another part of the process, it gets stamped again, so you can tell when it gets to you at, say, Stage 4 of a particular process if it's been through the previous three stages it should have gone through. But because Peter knows as much about banking as I know about brain surgery, he attaches weight and significance to this.

The letters from Merrill Lynch all say:

"This collection is subject to the Uniform Rules for Collection (1995 Revision) Publication number 552 issued by the International Chamber of Commerce..."

This is interesting. By presenting documents through a bank on a collection basis subject to ICC No. 552, the seller ensures that title to the goods being sold (and the possession of the goods) cannot be transferred to the buyer before payment has been made.

So someone is trying to buy something (or pay off a mortgage or loan) using a WeRe cheque and it looks as if the payee has asked its bank to make sure that they get the money before title is transferred or the loan is marked as discharged in full.

Of course, it'll show on that individual's WeRe Bank 'account' as having been 'cleared' because it's been deducted off the £150K prom note. Peter will tell them it's cleared but when Merrill Lynch receive nothing but an email saying "It's cleared!" they might well call in the feds on the hapless drawer of the cheque.

Could any legal action be taken by authorities in the US, if he has broken any laws, or against those using the cheques/checks. I do hope Peter does not end up being sent to the US.

I have to admit, Peter is a good talker and I can see why so many are taken in by him, but people should use basic common sense when it reached the point of cashing "fake" cheques. Its a shame he has decided this path in life, in another reality he could have done some good in the world.
