My favourite UK Freemen are the Cann brothers of Torquay.
They were all members of a UK soft rock band imaginatively titled the Cann brothers.

When their dreams of rock stardom came to naught they seem to have turned on mass to the Freeman movement.Along with friend Nick they take on "the Man".

Most of their videos feature Max who manages to convert a motoring offence into a prison sentence.

We first see Max as he attends a talk by John Harris (Who seems to have spread the Freeman drivel around much of England). He has just had his car seized and thanks John Harris and Robert Menard for their help in achieving this.

A car is being taken by a bailiff and quick as a flash the Cann brothers and friends form a “court de jour” and stop the theft. Well they have a vote anyway.

It's noticeable that these were the last videos on the Torquaytalkeytv channel featuring Max and co. In fact I cannot find anything on the internet relating to Max after 2011.

Don't mention the Magna Carta. I said it once, but I think I got away with it.

Max does seem to be taking more of a backseat role. However a few days ago he's at a council meeting claiming he can't be thrown out as he's not a person.

He also appears in this Torquaytalkeytv video.

The Lioness In Autumn - Exeter Appeals Court, 10-10-2014

His friend Sarah (Lioness Law) is appealing a motoring conviction and doesn't consent.

Max seems to have been spending his time growing his hair.Maybe he's not going to cut it until freeman arguments win in court or he's got a job in panto.

Murdering an innocent Neil Young song!! That's definitely Max's biggest crime.

I haven't heard sounds like that since I left my Tinkertoys out, one morning when I was little, and Dad woke up, still half-asleep and barefoot, and headed down the hall....

  • Max: You can't throw me out, I'm not a person!
  • Security Guards picking up Max and carrying him toward the door.
  • Max screaming: you can't throw me out, I'M NOT A PERSON!!!!
  • Security Guard: we're not throwing out a person, we're throwing out a physical object that is consuming space in the chambers without adding any value!
  • Security Guard 2: why are you talking to an inanimate object?
  • Max screaming NNNOOOO as the guards toss him through the door.

Yes silly old Max of the family Cann. I remember having a run in with Cann over on TPUC. Where they had just claimed a victory for max as he had proved his warrant was not valid - no signature etc- he forgot to add that he was eventually fined but all those odd balls over in freeman lala land believed he had some how won something?
This was one of Max`s stranger requests to his local council.
Who owns the land?
It is my understanding that a claim can only be made by a living
being blessed with a soul.
It is my understanding that Persons, including but not limited to
corporations, companies and businesses have no hands or mouths and
therefore cannot make a claim...........

Oh god. Those are delightful, it's less useful than a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card from a Monopoly set, I mean at least those let you get out of jail in Monopoly.

I took a brief look at the Lioness's website and well, boy do I have a grin on my face. I especially like this part of her donation drive:
help with payment of the other parties' costs when things don't go swimmingly - it all helps.
I have a feeling that things often go as swimmingly as a brick.

The Lioness (or someone close to her) decided to contact Devon & Cornwall police the find out how they are managing to cope with the tide of letters from followers of "Lioness Law" ...

Two letters, ha! I suppose at least one was from the lioness herself.

Sarah "Lioness" has raised £900 for a fighting fund to fight, well, I'm not sure what.

Browsing through some of her videos in her channel and elsewhere, she is not totally stupid. She has some understanding of how the world actually works. True, this is not a high bar to leap when we are talking SovCits. For example, she says she was initially by a John Harris video but soon realised he was talking garbage. She decries much FOTL stuff. But she sticks to a basic FOTL tenent: if we don't individually consent to a law, we don't need to obey it.

I'm still trying to figure out what you use to protect yourself from statutes, I mean traps??? bug spray??? I keep coming up blank here, and somehow I don't think a pretty card is going to do anything for you.

In Sarah's scheme, the pretty card is merely a key, so to speak, rather than something magical. It tells the police officer that junk paperwork has been sent to the police force, and the holder is registered on the Lioness's database. Yes, the Lioness keeps a careful record of everyone who claims her "Law". If I were cynical I would call it a "mailing list of suckers". The £20 fee pays for sending junk paperwork to the police force and so on. She doesn't seem to have published this junk paperwork. The Chief Constable is supposed to propagate this "don't prosecute" information down the line.

Suckers who pay her this £20 can then claim £50,000 for every time they are arrested, plus other charges. Or they could, if Lioness Law worked.

I have seen no claims that Lioness Law actually works. On her videos, she claims to have acted as a McKenzie friend on minor motoring matters, winning nine out of ten cases. She seems to have used sensible arguments in these cases, for people who have already been locked up for ages for not giving their name so the police couldn't confirm they were insured to drive, etc.

As I have never seen her junk paperwork, how do I know it is junk? I don't. I merely believe it is junk. The Lioness has never (as far as I know) claimed it has worked. She claims "that you are proteceted [sic] by the Lioness Law ID" but offers no guarantees.

Max and his morons have a kitchen table discussion.

They can't understand the Representation of the People Act 1983 as it doesn't mention people only persons.
They are not persons as the definition of person states.

"A person includes association corporate or unincorporate"

And a legal maxim states "The inclusion of one is the exclusion of all others"

Also

Voter means a person voting as proxy as the definition of voter says

"Voter means a person voting at an election and includes a person voting as proxy."

They know this doesn't make any sense but it never occurs to them that their use of include is to blame.

Max gives a talk using the same lack of logic.
