Nowadays the trolls are likely to be feral teenagers doing the same thing.

Just back a few minutes ago. Village greens a resounding success. Wife loved Finchingfield. We had tea and sandwiches at a teashop right on the green on a sunny morning and she was completely satisfied with the experience. It even had an old church just off the green with indecipherable tombstones. Linton was great too but raining. She still gave it full marks. We even went to Hutton-le-Hole as an extra. Thanks for the suggestions.
