Is this still going on? It was originally an oil and gas scam that started with a claim by Duffell and a friend of his, Randy Barsotti who claimed to have invented a technology that could make "stripper wells" viable. Can you give details of any recent scams and is Duffell still in Shreeveport?

Pottapaug1938,
will leave it to you to lead the uninformed back down the garden path after they were led up it by Duffell et al and tell them what these particular type of oil wells are.

The natural gas industry in the East Texas, NW Louisiana and SW Arkansas region has been booming due to the recent development of hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling to extract natural gas from the Haynesville Shale.
Wikipedia wrote:The Haynesville Shale has recently been estimated to be the largest natural gas field in the contiguous 48 states with an estimated 250 trillion cubic feet (7.1×1012 m3) of recoverable gas.
Right next door in Texas is the massive Barnett Shale, the second-largest source of natural gas in the US.

I'm not in the oil and gas business, but I can't imagine why "stripper wells" would be of much interest in Shreveport, since those are used to squeeze the last recoverable gas or oil from nearly exhausted wells. (Note: no double e's in Shreveport; may make your web searches better.) There's so much natural gas in the region, which is cost effective to obtain, that a nearly exhausted well would likely just be capped and marked for later use.
