Skype problems

I don't seem to be on any computer technical boards at the moment.

I have a phone number on my Skype account, I can talk using Skype (I don't have a webcam, so I don't know if I can videoconference), but I can't pick up phone messages left at the phone number. At least, I cannot hear them.

Any ideas?

Probably the one thing I couldn't help you with Arthur, never used Skype for calling, only messaging. Is there a separate control for the phone messages?

Resolved, I think. I hear clicking sounds on the messages, probably indicating that the person was waiting for someone to "pick up". Tested by calling the number myself, and it works normally.

Turning off the mute button on the headset helped with the other problem on Skype, that persons couldn't hear me.
