Trueman Tuck enters the battle to become the first freeman MP

Trueman Tuck enters the battle to become the first MP for the new Bay of Quinte Riding as an Judeo-Christian Independent Crusader for Citizen Rights

http://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/tr ... 49101.html
BELLEVILLE, ON, Sept. 1, 2015 /CNW/ - Trueman Tuck, a well-known Belleville Ontario entrepreneur, writer, publisher, paralegal, lobbyist, federal government crisis management consultant and Judeo-Christian Citizen Rights Crusader/Advocate, is now registered as a candidate to be the first MP for the new Bay of Quinte Riding.

Trueman and his wife Yvonne Tuck have operated a number of businesses in the Bay of Quinte area for over 20 years including, but not limited to Tuck's Discount Vitamins, Tuck's Professional Services and Tuck's Paralegal Services.

Trueman states "I have been lobbying the PMO, Cabinet, MPs, Senators and federal bureaucrats to stop the federal government terrorizing its innocent Citizens for over 20 years. I have been an entrepreneur for over 42 years and as a Citizen-Ruler/Freeman-on-the-Land I am fed up with the escalating tyranny, harassment, corruption, incompetence and lack of accountability of the federal government and its quasi-government corporations.

The Leadership of the Liberal, NDP and Conservative parties and their party Whips, in my opinion have deliberately conspired to expand federal government jurisdiction over thousands of local family owned businesses affecting their local trade and commerce activities without lawful constitutional authority.

The Leadership of the Liberals, NDP, and Conservatives have ALL prevented the Citizens of Canada from being able to effectively assert their God-Given rights of ownership and control over all publicly funded Peoples' so-called "Public Servants"."

Trueman's Putting Peoples' Essential Needs First 9 category Platform contains 27 innovative and effective Citizen rights Freedom Reform proposals that would revolutionize the ability of Citizens to force far more accountability of the Federal Government to its Citizens of this once Strong, Proud, Free, Peace-loving and Debt-free Nation.

Since Canadian is apparently not among the list of languages I can comfortably stagger about in, does "a well-known Belleville Ontario entrepreneur, writer, publisher, paralegal, lobbyist, federal government crisis management consultant and Judeo-Christian Citizen Rights Crusader/Advocate," translate as well known town crank and all around general loony????

Mr. Tuck has also been in trouble in the law society for operating as a paralegal without a license. I believe either the law society or one of Tuck's websites has posted his documents.

CANLII brings up numerous results for him as well.

It seems a little (or a lot) incongruous - as a Freeman he declares that the statutes do not apply to him, but now he is trying to get a position to affect the writing of those statutes.

Thanks

Took a look at that and an interesting paradox;

Weakening of or abolishment of all government power...okay

Lowering taxation...okay

Government gives away a lot of stuff free...Ah what? The two above kinda make the third difficult. If you want a socialist paradise the government has to have power and money. Suggest he checks out the systems used in the Scandinavian countries, which are a nice mix of human freedom, in charge government, high taxes and free stuff.

The Scana system works - would the above? Probably not.

The debate will be moderated by Hit 95.5 news director Paul Martin.

Chamber manager Suzanne Andrews said all registered candidates have been invited. The list includes Terry Cassidy of the NDP, Neil Ellis of the Liberal Party, Jodie Jenkins of the Conservative Party, Rachel Nelems of the Green Party, and Trueman Tuck, running as an independent.

“The idea is to present their party’s platform and policies to the chamber membership and residents who live in the community,” said Andrews.

But Andrews said the chamber has formally requested a platform from independent candidate Trueman Tuck.

“We are not prepared to offer Mr. Tuck a soapbox. We’ve requested a platform. This is not something we are taking lightly. This is about educating residents and business owners on the issues,” said Andrews.

Tuck said he is in the process of developing a detailed campaign platform and will be sending it to the Chamber of Commerce.

“I am insisting that I be part of the debate. I do have a platform and I will be introducing it,” said Tuck.

I don't know why the numb nutz put it up in that format to begin with, but maybe I answered my own question.

From what I could wade through, and make sense of, I would say that most of it was probably unattainable due to the very charter he has been going on about, thankfully. I think clueless is far too kind a description at this point. Unless I miss my guess, he is talking about major constitutional and charter changes, that I don't see ever happening.

And would someone for my edification explain how the Canadian Senate comes in to being and what it actually does?

the Canadian Senate is the secondary system of government 'protection' over policies that might be bad..

you have the House of Commons (all the elected members of parliament), which passes a bill, that goes then to the Senate for final review and approval.

Sadly, in Canada, the Senate is APPOINTED.. by the ruling governing body.. and often, if the House can not get a bill passed through the Senate.. they simply create more Senate seats and appoint people who will pass their bill (this has indeed happened in the past : see the Goods and Services Tax ).

Now if it is a bill/act that changes the Canadian Constitution (or effects Government of the nation.. IE - Federal Budget) .. that then gets a FINAL review by the Governor General (again, an appointed position, that really has little or no actual power.. the Governor General is the 'representative acting on behalf of the Queen') there is a bunch of methods for things coming through the House, to the Senate.. but in general there is a 3 strikes out sort of rule.. and, vice versa.. (that is, if the house and the senate both approve on something that the Governor General declines .. and they do that 3 times, it is then enacted, and the Gov. Gen. can be replaced).

Here is where Tuck would really hit a few walls.. EVEN if they did become elected.. they would have to get a Majority vote in the House, to get it to the Senate, to then have the Senate approve, and pass it (constitutional effecting thing) to the Gov. General.. Not gonna happen.. but, at least he' trying the system, to change it from within, instead of frivolously railing against it from the outside.

Point of clarification:
Vacant or newly created seats are appointed (for life!) by the party then in power...
Still a useless partisan body which IMHO should be abolished, or at the very least, elected.

Isn't the Canadian Senate a pale version of the British House of Lords?
