Hey - the official story is that Bill Casey died of a brain tumor. A quite rare and very aggressive type called "B-cell large-cell lymphoma", typically occurring in people with compromised immune systems, which Casey was not known to have. Which first manifested itself literally hours before he was to testify before Congress on Iran-Contra, in which he was a central figure. That first symptom was a stroke which deprived him of speech. He has "exploratory surgery" three days later; doctors "confirm" the malignancy, but refuse to release further information, such as size or placement of the tumor. Shortly thereafter he resigns as CIA Director; shortly after that, he is dead.

Good thing I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

They probably contaminated his precious bodily fluids, or something.

Most likely. But Pound was probably not insane - he plead insanity and no psychiatrist ever testified in court that they diagnosed him as being insane.

That notwithstanding, Ezra Pound spent about 12 years confined in the notorious Saint E's psych hospital in Washington, DC.

Don't you listen to Mullins? Pound was a political prisoner.

No doubt the Joos were behind it.

Not surprising, considering the alternative was execution.

Not so notorious when the doctors gave Ezra the run of place, including time to continue writing his poetry and conjugal visits with his wife - options that the other patients there who were diagnosed as being insane were not getting.

Yeah, but the other patients wouldn't have been very good at writing his poetry, and his wife probably wouldn't have agreed to have conjugal visits with the other patients, either.
